One Cell in the Sea

A Fine Frenzy, stage name of 22 year old Alison Sudol, combines solid piano work with Sudol's ethereal voice, backed by acoustic guitars, orchestral movements, and solid percussion work. Released on July 17th, "One Cell In The Sea" is a strong debut effort of pop songs hidden underneath indie, classical, and international influences. "Almost Lover" and "Borrowed Time" are powerful tracks, reminiscent of The Swell Season and Ray LaMontagne.

Self taught on piano, Sudol calls Radiohead, Aretha Franklin, and Louis Armstrong just some of her musical influences. She also draws on literature classics such as Shakespeare for inspiration -- "A Fine Frenzy" was taken from A Midsummer Night's Dream -- which shows through her lyrics. >BR>
If you're a fan of artists such as The Fray, Regina Spektor, or The Frames, A Fine Frenzy will fit right into your CD collection.

Sudol will join VH1's "You Oughta Know" Tour, with Brandi Carlile this fall.
