Adrienne Frantz - Anomaly
- Adrienne Frantz’s debut album, “Anomaly,” certainly fits its title. In an age where every actress in America seems to want a music career as well, Frantz is a rare example of musical talent. Frantz is well known for her role as Amber Moore on both “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” leaving daytime television to work on her record. It was released in April by indie label Wrong Records.
“Anomaly” is a well produced mix of rock and acoustic pop written or co-written by Frantz herself. Frantz’s voice evokes Gwen Stefani, and her vocal range is impressive, especially on “Seven Minutes” and “A Little More Time.”
The opening track, “Halfway”, is rumored to be about former boyfriend, John Rzeznik. “I Can’t” could easily fit into a modern musical, while “Getaway” is the perfect base for a music video. Overall, it is a solid first effort from Frantz, who could easily quit acting altogether and support herself on her music career alone.
