Just Surrender - We're in Like Sin
- With a clever hook the first song on the album will keep you listening until the CD stops. The band has a high energy about them that powers through the song really intently. In the second song, "So Close, So Alive," they add a girl into the vocals, and her voice mixes really well with the rest of the group. It is not everyday you see a punk duet, but it worked nicely. The record has the classic emo sound and pairs it with cleverly catchy lyrics. The lyrics have a narrative quality, almost as if they were telling you a story. This is the kind of music you crank real loud and jump around to. You feel the music move through your body and can’t help but move. The only complaint I have with this record is that it was fairly short, a mere 11 tracks. I wanted more. I also get the feeling that it would be much better at a live show, but the recording is still pretty top rate.
