Candy Dulfer - Candy Store
- Amsterdam’s Candy Dulfer hits the charts once again with her eighth studio album, “Candy Store.” The saxophonist has had a lengthy and colorful career, including backing Madonna on a European tour and working with Dave Stewart, but it was Prince who brought her to the forefront. Having toured with him extensively, she is also featured on his “Musicology” album.

“Candy Store” is a flawless mix of smooth jazz, funk, techno beats, and contemporary styles. Dulfer’s saxophone work is prominent, taking place of any vocals on most tracks, such as “If I Ruled the World.” Other influences such as reggae can be seen, like in ”Smokin’ Gun.” “Candy Store” is sure to hit high on the charts of jazz and funk fans.
