Future Rock - Gears
- Future Rock’s “Gears” is the enigmatic band’s second studio album. The band was assembled by Chicago producer Leif Moravy in 2004. He put together this trinity of original musicians, Mickey Kellerman, Felix Moreno and Darren Heitz to create a sound that listeners are sure to have never heard before or since.

“Torture” begins with robust electronica build-up and wind-like sounds in the intro. A synthesizer is also at work as keyboard play comes into the melody with a noisy rhythm.

“Know Yourself” has a vanguard 80s vibe to it that is aided by synthesizer play. There is also pounding drum work and notes are held for long expanses of time. The pace of the song is so slow.

“Kill, Late” starts off with clouded and echoing beats. The tone of the song changes almost immediately with the supplement of deep and officious electronic sounds. This blare has a buzzing endowment that could remind some listeners of the music included in their favorite video game.

On “Jesus Would Get The Bigger Speakers” there is a pop gain along with pulsating drum work and synthesizer work. What sounds like an organ can be heard in the background as rhythmic guitar play takes over beside thumping electronic sounds.

“Gears,” from Future Rock, is an electronica album that fuses different types of sounds that will have listeners gyrating to its imperious beats. This triad of artists makes sure the “Gears” are turning in whoever listens to this album.
