Jacques Loussier - Encore: Jacques Loussier Plays Bach
- Jacques Loussier re-releases his last album as a two disc set entitled “Encore: Jacques Loussier Plays Bach.” The French musician has been recording for close to 50 years, easily solidifying his career as a diverse and talented musician. Loussier reinvents Bach compositions, taking each piece and adding his own flare. Influences such as jazz and contemporary percussion can be heard throughout the two discs, reviving classic Bach compositions such as “Concerto F Minor” and “Trumpet Concerto.”

Loussier has spent the majority of his career essentially covering Bach, but he has done it in a refreshing, smart way that is inspiring. His own talent is clear as he takes each composition and re-works it so that today’s music audience can more fully appreciate both his skill and Bach’s creations. “Encore: Jacques Loussier Plays Bach” is a great tribute to Bach’s accomplishments as well as Loussier’s long and successful career.
