Warm In The Wake - American Prehistoric
- Warm In The Wake’s four members may hail from the South, but their music is not even close to what is considered stereotypical Southern sound. Smart and expertly produced, their debut full length record “American Prehistoric” could have easily come from any indie band in New York or Los Angeles. Signed with Livewire Recordings, Warm In The Wake has quickly made a name for itself across the country’s independent scene.

“American Prehistoric” sounds like a combination between Bossa Nova, 1970s vocals, jazz and alternative rock. “Airport Girl” encompasses all of these styles, creating a track that could easily fit into any movie soundtrack. “She’d Never Seen It” leans more towards the rock side, heavy on the guitar and percussion, but with country influenced chorus vocals. “Devil With a Fist” has a strong Ray LaMontagne style piano line, but is also highly reminiscent of The Beatles. Warm In The Wake is sure to make waves with “American Prehistoric.”
