Bigelf - Hex
- L.A.’s Bigelf releases their latest album, “Hex,” in the United States. Hugely popular on the European scene, Bigelf had originally released “Hex” internationally in 2003, except in the U.S. Bigelf has made an impression with their eclectic and mixed sound, with inspiration coming from many different genres. Combining heavy rock, monster metal, pop themes, unusual instrument, and unique vocals, the band has made a name for themselves both in the states and across the pond.

“Hex” is the perfect example of what Bigelf is trying to accomplish. “Disappear” contains a 1970s metal tone to it, which is found throughout the record. “Falling Bombs” is saturated with heavy guitar work and vocals that are reminiscent of Queen. “Bats In The Belfry” is a solid, traditional heavy metal piece with an almost cliche Halloween themed organ track layered over it. The long awaited U.S. release of “Hex” won’t disappoint.
