Andrew T. Miller, et al - The Birth of Christ: Narrated by Liam Neeson
- “The Birth of Christ: Narrated by Liam Neeson,” from talented composers and performers Andrew T. Miller, John B. Cooper, Owen Gilhooly, Kelley O’Connor, John McKelvie, et al brings the holy tale of Christmas to life through magnificent song. Both Catholic and Protestant singers lend their heavenly vocals to many of the tracks thus ascending listeners to a higher plane as each song commences.

“The Annunciation of John,” has slow, direct piano work as the strong male vocalist emotes powerful lyrics such as, “My people find your way.” The instrumentation will enchant listeners from the start and allow them to visualize what existing was like during that historical time period.

With “Mary’s Canticle,” there is commanding vocal harmonizing in the intro and then a female vocalist takes over with her songbird-like timbre that will send shivers down the spines of listeners with its utter vibrancy. On this track, she expounds on His virtues and how he aided His people as she sings lyrics like, “Every generation, he has shown us life…And has lifted up the lonely.”

On “Luke 2:1-20 The Birth of Christ,” acclaimed actor Liam Neeson brings forth the narrative of the birth of Jesus with his ever so soothing voice. He expounds famous lines like, “Now it came to pass in those days…To be enrolled with Mary, his espoused wife who was with child. And it came to pass…And she brought forth her first born so and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn…And behold an Angel of the Lord appeared to them…For this day is born to you a savior, Christ the Lord.” Neeson’s narration is gentle and soft which adds to the importance of the fable.

Andrew T. Miller, John B. Cooper, Owen Gilhooly, Kelley O’Connor, John McKelvie, et al’s “The Birth of Christ,” is a magical musical time capsule that will transport listeners back to a historic event in religious history. Recorded live in Ireland, the composers and performers included on “The Birth of Christ,” manage to portray their whimsical prowess with ease.
