Burgandy Brown - Lucky 13
- The debut album from this Colorado native brings nothing new to the table. Just your regular, generic pop/country record from a sweet-voiced college student. This record contains the type of background music you’d expect to hear from any given house band on any given night at any given bar. The one attempt she makes to separate herself from the pack falls flat. “Lady Like,” where she spends the entire song proving that she’s not so lady like, would’ve been a nice attempt to make a name for herself, however Gretchen Wilson already made a name for herself doing that exact thing on her hit “Redneck Woman” a few years ago. And Brown -- one more thing -- if you want to prove that you like something, at least get the name right. To prove that she can hang with the big boys, she states that she likes the “WWF.” Unless the big boys she wants to hang with are really into animals, I think she meant the WWE.

Unless you like music with no originality, I’d advise you to stay away from this release
