Shaggy - Intoxication
- How serious do you take your Dancehall reggae? If you’re anything like me, you like it mean and unpolished. You like it full of “gun-talk” and “slackness”. You like the “riddims” aggressive and the music sparse.

Well, seasoned vet Shaggy has come to bust down your expectations once again. “Intoxication”, his 8th album, is a major disappointment.

Shaggy once again brings his polished, pop version of dancehall reggae to the masses, and misses. The only high spot here is the previously released “Church Heathen.” The rest of this collection can be skipped.

If you dig your dancehall watered down and safe, then this is the album for you. Major disappointment from a major artist. You'd have to be "Intoxicated" to enjoy this record.
