Black 47 - Iraq
- Talk about a political statement! New York’s Black 47 have taken the opportunity to make a major political stance on their new album. Iraq tells the tale of the war from the eyes of those most affected: the soldiers and their families. They also take huge shots at President Bush along the way. While you’re being caught up in the Irish-punk of the band, you’re hearing the story of two kids waiting for a chopper to rescue them from an ambush on “Stars and Stripes,” and a soldier saying goodbye to his girlfriend on “Sunrise In Brooklyn.” Very important album that CANNOT be overlooked.
