Champagne Tastes, Lemonade Pockets
I didn't like this album at first. I was all set to give it bad review, but on the third listen something happened. I started to get them.
Yes, they wear their influences on their sleeve, but is that really such a bad thing? The harmonies on songs like "Wide Open Spaces" make you forget the weaker tracks, like "Song For the Paranoid."
Yes, "Flower Song" will make you think of U2's "One," but if you're gonna be influenced by someone, who better than Bono and the boys.
This turned out to be an enjoyable listen, and I'm sure you'll agree that They Live Among us will be a band to watch for.
