In Flight Radio - The Sound Inside
- The Sound Inside is the second and latest album by Brooklyn-based rock group In Flight Radio. Comprised of lead singer/songwriter Peira, bassist Devin Krug, guitarist Saric and drummer Mike Dawson, In Flight Radio has been compared to Coldplay in its sound. Similarities to other groups listed on the “Sounds Like” section of the band’s MySpace page can also be heard as well, such as The Cranberries (Peira’s breathy vocals on “Yelling Up to the Sky”) and Snow Patrol (the guitar intro in “Easy Win”). Peira’s light and airy vocals are complemented by the harder-edged rock music played by the band. Her lyrics are also good, making for memorable songs, or at least songs you’ll want to listen to again. If you like rock, then next time you’re on a plane, slip on your headphones and listen to some In Flight Radio. One caveat: Beware of the blaring opening to the ninth track, “Finish Line.” At the time of this writing, The Sound Inside is listed as being available on April 8 at Amazon.com.
