Paper Rival - Dialog
- Paper Rival has a hit on their hands with “Dialog”. The melodies are sweet and fun to hear. The vocals are open and honest. In several of the songs the verses are awesome and better than the chorus; however, most songs really throw a punch once the chorus starts. Feet will begin to tap involuntarily to, at least, almost all of the choruses and people will sing along as well. “Bluebird” is a great song with soft guitars and lyrics that are both sad and comforting. But the best part, the surprise, is that at about two minutes and 20 seconds; a bridge builds up to an ending that coveys hope since it is upbeat. “Swimmer King” is possibly the best song to sing along with, especially the line in the chorus that says, “They’re drowning all the same.” And “Keep Us In” has an interesting perspective and a very catchy chorus. If you like pop or indie you are will really like, possibly love, this album. I liked it and I am not a fan of either.
