Yahweh's People - Yahweh's People
- The self-titled album by Yahweh’s People is not what most would probably expect to hear when putting on a religious CD; they are more “in your face” with their love of God and belief in his power as well as the other subject matters of their songs. These songs do more than just praise God. Essentially, this is a Christian hip-hop album. The rhythms and beats are similar to many hip-hop artists, but there are touches which make it a little different; for example, “Dark Terrain” has what sounds like a slightly distorted guitar in the beginning and also has an addition of a cello. “Brethren” also has an interesting touch: a capella is in the beginning before the music starts. There are many other songs with touches that make them more interesting and worth a listen.
