Bluegrass Alphabet
Even if you're not a bluegrass, or even a country fan, it's no stretch of the imagination to say that you could enjoy Joe Ross' newest album, Bluegrass Alphabet.
I'd list my favorite selections from the CD, but it's that hard to choose. Bluegrass Alphabet is entirely catchy, and a rather upbeat album. There is a special treat in store for fans of the Coen Brothers' movie O Brother Where Art Thou: some of Ross' soundtracks are quite reminiscent of that film's catchy tunes, including "Man of Constant Sorrow" (as sung by Dan Tyminski) and the other songs sung by the "Soggy Bottom Boys" on that popular soundtrack.
Bluegrass Alphabet is a definite treat for bluegrass fans, and is the perfect album to start with for those who are unfamiliar with blue grass but want to learn more. This album is a fine example of bluegrass with heart.
