Chante Moore - Love the Woman
- Love the Woman, by Chante Moore, exudes a sensual appeal with its slow love songs and her sweet voice. Her voice is dazzling as she hits the high notes. She reminds the listener of old times with some of the harmonies, which sound like jazz. Her lyrics are not really fresh, but they are honest and/or romantic. She also plays around with her songs: the last track, 12, which just might be a bonus because amazon.com does not have it listed, is short and sort of jumpy and jazz-like; “Love Action” tries to define love with a litany of emotions and/or thoughts people feel when in love; and “Guess Who I Saw Today” has a musical quality in that the lyrics are very much like a monologue detailing a woeful story.
All of the songs on the album are slow, but “Can’t Do It” is upbeat and great for dancing during a night out on the town with friends; it seems to mock “players” and empower women to kick them away. This song reminds me of Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera.
Fans of soul and R&B will find love with Chante Moore.
