Rush Life

For an album with the name Rush Life, there was little of anything to do with rushing on this album. However, fans of smooth jazz should like this compilation. Antonio Ciacca's newest album is completely jazz music, with no lyrics to get in the way of the enjoyment of the fine instrumentals going at full blast. Jazz aficionados will have to decide for themselves exactly what level of praise Ciacca has earned for himself, as he is still a relatively new player on the jazz scene, CD-wise. One thing about Rush Life is that many of the songs had very similar melodies. It wasn't terribly easy to differentiate between these songs with similar tunes and instrumentation, especially as they easily melted into one another. This is a great album for pleasant background music while one is hosting a party, or for listening to in the car, if you don't need to concentrate too hard on the melodies themselves.
