Aaron Burdette - Resolve
- It's country, but similar enough to popular pop/rock cross-over country bands like Nickel Creek. I'm referring of course, to Aaron Burdette and his newest album, "Resolve."

With a defining overall country and bluegrass flavor, "Resolve" is a pleasant album that is mellow but still instrumentally fascinating. Burdette's heart is clearly in the songs, which make them all the more believable and easy to listen to.

Some of the highlights of this album include "Butterbug and Heart," which is catchy and, again a sung song with heart and true emotion by Burdette. Other highlights include "Boozi Suzi," which is humorous but also sung with gusto and some serious fiddle and banjo work, and "Sweatheart Waltz," which is just a sweet and loving song with very pretty instrumentation and a catchy chorus. The very best song on the album, however, is Burdette's cover of Steve Winwood's wonderful "Back In The High Life Again."

Overall an upbeat and uplifting album, "Resolve" is a pleasant and enjoyable collection of lovely tunes.
