Amy Lennard - I Need to Love
- Amy Lennard’s I Need to Love is an album that straddles the line between upbeat and mellow, but it is not like she was confused about where she wanted to go. Many of these songs would probably make someone out there sing along. It is easy to find something to like about this CD, although not everyone will like it based on individual tastes. The title track is personally my favorite. The lyrics on this album are straightforward, almost like a country song’s lyrics. The melodies are simple, nothing out of the ordinary. Many of the tracks are love songs for a person or place, but the first track is more about how she is envious of what she does not have, especially what her friend has – it is an interesting story because of its honesty. Would you love this album? Maybe. I think it is okay.
