Jay Scott - Homegrown
- Homegrown consists of 11 tracks from the blues artist, Jay Scott. There are high points and low points to this album. Some tracks are a bit too long for their own good and get dull, and the lineup on the CD could be better so that the mellow tracks are not side by side. On the other hand, this album has great melodies and harmonies and rhythms. My favorite part is the entire 6th track – it is shorter but it has the mini bass solo in the beginning with the guitars slowly coming in that is just awesome. His vocals do seem a bit low compared to the instruments, but it doesn’t hinder the listener from liking the songs.
