Sick of Sarah - Sick of Sarah
- Sick of Sarah poses an interesting and unique concept as all the band members are female. Not that this is strange by any means, but personally I haven’t seen an all girl band since the Spice Girls, which dates back quite some time. I think this is a good front and angle to take in order to distinguish themselves from the other indie rock and pop bands out there. Not only does it give them a different sound, but in concert, it could serve very well for the type of energy given off.
Whether you take it from them or listen to their music, you can tell that their influences stem from the passion strummed by Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton. Their songs possess a lot of variety while they still carry the same female lingering that is cast from the diaphragm. The tempo changes, allowing all their tracks to not mold into one inorganic mess of sounds. Early on, we’re blessed with a stunning amount of energy as the music is fast paced. In my head, I pictured a lot of jumping around on stage, if you were seeing Sick of Sarah live, which would definitely get the crowd going. It slows down a bit midway through and then recoils into its original pacing form.
Sick of Sarah shakes things up with some hardy music and introduces some variations and spinoffs of past artists. In concert, they will definitely generate positive vibes unlike any generic indie band trying to make it in this world. They possess the necessary talent and appearance to be big up-and-comers.
