The Dirty Heads - Any Port in a Storm
- The Dirty Heads’ Any Port in a Storm is a well blended mix of acoustics, hip-hop, and even a little reggae. They have made an album that has radio-friendly songs, but it seems the intent was not to make for the radio, but to make something original and while it is not the most unique music today, they are pretty original compared to most of what is played. There was not one moment on this CD where I thought, “Ok, this is getting dull.” In fact I played the eleventh track twice, I liked it so much. It has the acoustic elements, but then it has beats that remind me of Timbaland – it's something I would love to hear in a club – do not think most of these songs are meant for clubs though.
