Right on Time

Not quite sure if the genre of bluegrass can really convey the sound of JD & AMP. JD & AMP's album, Right on Time, is a fun collection of easygoing, Jimmy Buffett-esque sounds. Not a complete and utter standout in any way, Right on Time is still a pleasant compilation to pop into the CD player on a day reserved for rest and relaxation. The singer has a smooth and rich voice, reminiscent of other popular country singers, like Alan Jackson. And yet, each of the songs on this album are individual and special in their own way. There are certain elements of jazz and rock in the mix as well, which should please listeners looking for something as rich in country as it is rich in crossover value.
