Various Artists - Patriotic Country 3
- Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar and LeAnn Rimes: These are just some of the big names who lend their voice talents to the new country album, Patriotic Country, Volume 3. Besides Rimes's wondrous cover of "God Bless America," the rest of the album is quite good as well. Popular crossover band Lonestar makes an impressive showing, per usual. There are few country music stereotypes present on this album, as most of the songs are hopeful, upbeat and catchy, not to mention notable solely for the legendary singers performing. Country fans will enjoy this album, and those looking to get into country will have a real treat with Patriotic Country 3 as well.
