Christian rock is a quickly growing musical genre these days. This Beautiful Republic, like Lifehouse, has a nice rock flavor to it which should be able to attract a large and varied following. Their new album, Perceptions, is a nice addition to the religious rock genre.
"Beautifully Broken" (no, not the same as Ashlee Simpson's!) and "Stay with You Tonight" are two highlights on this album. With just enough Christian lyrics to put it over the top and into the Christian rock category, it should please Lifehouse fans looking for something new this summer. Overall, it is more religiously tilted in many of its songs than not, but there are plenty of rock-out tunes on this album to satisfy those rockers who are also looking for just a little bit more.
