Asteria

Good news for those looking for a new alternative band with a familiar sound: Asteria is here. Asteria's self-titled album, Asteria, is a great collection of alternative toe-tapping songs. Vocally similar to Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco and Yellowcard, Asteria provides fun and memorable songs, just in time for the oncoming school year. There is clearly a sense of fun when one listens to this album. It is also clear that Asteria put some real effort into this album, as they throw themselves into the music. The songs are alternative rock all the way, with less angst than a sense of humor underneath it all. The album is not too long, which is the only downside, as Asteria is so good, there will be many who will lament there isn't more to listen to. Hopefully, this awesome sampling will be enough to draw a larger fan base for the longer album, which we can hope is not too far away.
