Above the Golden State - Above the Golden State
- Are you listening? Listen up to Above the Golden State by the band, Above the Golden State. The alternative rock band's album boasts catchy and clear tunes that easily stick in one's mind. "Loud and Clear" and "Sound of Your Name" are especially notable in an already great album, but perhaps that is just because they come on early on, and introduce the listener to this amazing new band. The magical thing about this album is how new the music is, and yet how familiar the tunes and vocals are, like one is listening to a favorite old band. Some of the tunes on this album are reminiscent of Everclear and Spin Doctors, two beloved '90s bands, and other later pop sensations like Yellowcard and All American Rejects. If you are looking for a catchy, upbeat, and overall happy new album, Above the Golden State is just what the doctor ordered.
