War Stories, Vol. 1

War Stories sounds eerily like a glam '80s band. The stereotype is especially reinforced with such songs as "TV." The varied nature of this album is fascinating, as song topics run the gamut from television to G-d to punk love. The best category to place War Stories, Vol. 1 into would be alternative, just because nothing in this album is completely able to be placed solidly into one musical category. From the dance-till-you-drop beginning anthems, to metaphysical musings to country-infused ballads ("Without Love"), War Stories, Vol. 1 is fascinating, at the least, and at the least, is a good conversation starter.
