Bedsit Poets - Rendezvous
- Bedsit Poets is a trio of musicians whose music, in their latest release Rendezvous, seems meticulous in its preparation and fixation to perfect a track. From their instruments and cadence, they deliver with a strong conviction a set of truly heartfelt ballads. It’s a fusion subtle blend between folk and rock that slowly progresses, but not a tediously dragging pace. Bedsit Poets smoothly waltzes into our hearts and hooks us with its tender passion. They reminisce of the heartaches and sentimental issues that seem to make the world go round.
Bedsit Poets deliver original tracks with affection and a certain balance of boldness yet restraint. The middle ground hovered upon has a wonderful sentiment to it that really speaks universally. The hushed vocals gleams undertones of sweet innocence that just warms your heart. The lyrics bare a certain snarled quality, which allows us the listener to untangle. It gives Bedsit Poets another dimension to their soft angelic sounding music. Bedsit Poets seem to possess a hierarchal sense of intelligence with their intricate threading of music composition.
The tracks are both inspiring and haunting at the same time with their contagious sweet harmonic sound. Their slow pacing is nostalgic of a protective 60’s chastity. It also indicates that they take their time and deliver music in a carefully controlled and deliberate manner. Bedsit Poets’ brilliant sound is honed in and makes us take note that you don’t need to pound on the drums like a buffoon to appreciate catchy tunes. Rendezvous’ sweet sound lifts us up to an elated cloud that can only be sung by angels.
