Deni Bonet - Last Girl on Earth
- Deni Bonet, an ultra violinist, has a steady backup band to help her pluck a plethora of golden feathered songs with sash from a creative bird of inspiration. The instrumentals alone are an immovable, wavy force that’s set into motion, courtesy of the Newtonian strong, commencing voice of Bonet. The album, entitled Last Girl On Earth, sends an aural wakeup call with renditions of covers to songs; one notable is the rap hit, “Word Up.” She slows things down with a nice drum line and acoustical joys.
Each track is a pleasure to listen to awe inspiring lyrics that coil around you. The lyrics have the tendency to be quite humorous or ironic at times, which is certainly refreshing to hear rather than the mundane and stale meaningless words that filter through the air. They have technically diverse instrumentals with a sort of revolver changing vocals that range from distant echoes to a stir of passion that’s in your face. Her music speaks wonders as it conveys beauty in a storybook way. Deni’s range is exceptional as she breaks it down slow and speeds up as she immerses herself in a tremendous building of rising and falling in smooth ways that’s simply enchanting.
The violin comes and goes with distinction in the forefront like receding tides on the shoreline. She doesn’t exploit the brilliant sound by overdoing it and shoving it in our face, but by merely revealing that classical yet sometimes electrically modern sound in an appropriate manner. Deni Bonet, with the help of her first mate, the violin, and a strong deck of disciplined auxiliary instruments, rides an onslaught of waves with the wind at her back, propelled by her conviction and limitless creativity.
