Attack! Attack! UK

Attack! Attack!'s release of Attack! Attack! UK ? besides annoying totype ? is a rather bland and mundane repetitious snowball picking upspeed down a hill about to smash you into next week. Attack! Attack!delivers the same sounding new wave rock sound with a dot of punk thatis currently out there now. Their sound possesses similar elements tobands like A Simple Plan, even Green Day. That's not to say it doesn'tsound bad. If you like that style then this album will deliver 10tracks of the same song just with a slightly different version.

The vocals seem whiney, distant and virgin-like over an auxiliary ofinstrumentals that consists of thunderous drums and guitar rifts thatstop and go on command. The tracks run into each other and aren'tdistinguished by anything defining or provocative. The fast pacedpounding tempos do stir up the pot to get people on their feet jumpinglike maniacs though. I know this sounds rather harsh, but that's notmy intention. The band demonstrates they can play instruments and singfor 10 tracks by giving slightly different interpretations oralternation outlooks on the same song with an adjustment to lyrics.

I think Attack! Attack! needs to go back to the drawing board anddevelop a range and spice things up. The album is far too predictableand trite as it needs to take a chance and push the envelope bythrowing a curveball. If they do that then we can see the hiddentalent that they seem to shy to reveal to the world. Attack! Attack!UK is a good start with a solid familiar sound, but the band needs tobe revamped to introduce some originality and flavor to engage us evenmore and separate from the crowd.
