Christmas Cheer

Rejoice, all: Christmas music is back! And for the next surprise - does a voice in this band sound especially familiar? It should. The Boxmasters are a trio of musicians, which just happens to include actor Billy Bob Thornton. Putting aside this man's famous acting chops, this is just a fun album in general.

'Tis the season for harmonious Christmas music to pour into our ears at all major shopping venues. The Boxmasters' new album, Christmas Cheer, is an upbeat album with a traditional feel. The great thing about Christmas Cheer is that as traditional and old fashioned as it can feel, there are still fun surprises around the corner, within this country Christmas music album. The first track is a country and bluegrass-inspired song, celebrating dreams (of Christmas, of course!) and still boogeying down to some good ol' country tunes.

The connection between country music and Christmas music is no big surprise, but it still is fun to hear passionate Christmas music. Listen for new takes on old classics, including "Rudolph."
