Basshunter - LOL <(^^,)>
- Basshunter is a Swedish DJ whose music took Europe by storm with his CD LOL <(^^,)>, described by the artist himself as “eurotrance.” This type of music might not be very popular in the United States yet, but it should be. LOL <(^^,)> is an upbeat, catchy CD with songs that will force you to sing along even if you don’t speak the language. This CD is proof that music is the universal language.
“Now You’re Gone” is one of the few songs actually in English, and although the lyrics are simple, they are vibrant and fresh. Just listening to this song once will get it stuck in your head for life. “Boten Anne” is in Danish, but it is equally as catchy. Even if you don’t know the language, you will attempt to pronounce the sounds. “Russian Privjet” is more sexual and physical, while “Jingle Bells” is a funny techno version of the classic Christmas song.
The only downside possible to this CD is that most of the songs are about World of Warcraft. Luckily, most of the songs aren’t in English, so it can be a secret!
