BHB

To anyone who is familiar with the Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync or other boy bands of a similar ilk, Ballas Hough Band's "BHB" is going to feel like an extreme case of deja vu.

While songs such as "Fall," "Longing For" and "Do It For You" each have an interesting hook reminiscent of early work by Maroon 5, most of the album lacks true originality. All of the tracks contained on the album call to mind the sound of well-known songs by other artists, rather than making an impression of their own.

Fans of the Jonas Brothers are likely to enjoy this album but for more discerning listeners, it comes across as just too much ""fluff,"" with not enough substance.
