Alt Tal - Open the Gates
- Yes, it's . . . jazz!

Alt Tal's Open the Gates is a pleasant enough album, though it does not contain any outstanding elements to specifically recommend it above any other new jazz effort of the last few years.

The 11 track titles are somewhat more exciting than the actual melodies (see "Frivolity," "News from Milan," "Catch Me," "Force of Nature" and "Mossad," the latter title which I am not sure how it got its name exactly), which is a bit disappointing.

This is by no means a bad album, but would make a pleasant addition to any jazz enthusiast's collection, and would provide pleasant background melodies at a low-key party.
