Unhand Me, You Fiend!

Unhand Me, You Fiend! is the debut album from British musician David Cloyd. He uses this album to convey the struggles of everyday life.

The best track on this album is actually his cover of Radiohead's "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi." The depth of the track and the hollowness of the rhythm made the song so much more enjoyable than the original track. I think when I heard this track for the first time, the hairs on my arm started to stiffen and stand up on end.

Cloyd's voice on this album was very reminiscent of singers like David Berkeley and Jeff Buckley. No more was this more evident for me than in his song, "The First Sign." The lingering guitar line paired with his voice made me want to listen to this song over and over again.

The most unique item on this album was the digital liner notes, which are actually the two bonus tracks on the album. I had never seen this prior and it was actually very interesting to listen to.

This album is an excellent way to debut and I know I will be looking forward to future releases from David Cloyd.
