Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant
- Cage the Elephant's eponymous CD has sparks of brilliance, securing a place for the future of rock in a pop-obsessed musical landscape.

While there are songs that may be considered slightly off-key or not in line with so-called "traditional" melodies, to most listeners, it will not matter. These songs will open your ears to a whole new world.

“James Brown” is a very cool homage to punk bands like the Sex Pistols - those who remember the heyday of punk and the sound of bands like the Clash will love this entire CD from start to finish.

“Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” stood above the rest, with a great arrangement and a very fitting social commentary about the darker side of life.

There seems to be a signature sound to this CD, and yet it does not translate as having a lack of diversity – there are mostly up-tempo tracks, but they all seem to have their own personality and carry their own individual messages.

Cage the Elephant just simply oozes cool from beginning to end, and will leave listeners waiting with baited breath for what’s to come from this band in the future.
