Amos Lee - Last Days at the Lodge
- Last Days at the Lodge is the most recent from Amos Lee. The combination of his wonderful voice and thoughtful lyrics makes this album a great find.

“Won’t Let Me Go” is a wonderful track about a man telling a woman how he feels about her. The real treasure of this track is Lee’s range, going from his normal voice to a falsetto in the chorus and then back again. I was impressed by his vocal versatility.

“Street Corner Preacher” is a driving track with a great beat. The lyrics of this song are an urbanized cry for help for the impoverished in our cities. The song has so much depth and meaning it conveys his message perfectly.

“Jails and Bombs” is arguably the best track on this album. It’s a touching song about the state of affairs in the world today. The singer decries the state of war going on around the world and calls out for prayers of peace. I think the lyrics of this song are the most meaningful on the album.

I would recommend this album to anyone, regardless of whether or not one is a fan of Amos Lee. It should be added to your rotation quickly.
