Keeping the Love Alive
Keeping the Love Alive is a collection of hits from the Marshall Tucker Band. The album includes some of the songs they are most famous for as well as some lesser-known chart toppers.
"Can't You See" is the first track on the album. In the song, a man bemoans his fate when his woman leaves him. This song is not only well written, but the vocals are great too. The depth in the vocals creates a sense of empathy for this man whose life has just changed drastically.
"Why Didn't I Think of That" is a song about a man in awe of another who steals a woman's heart. The use of the keyboard in this song makes it so much better. The flute, which is playing as well, really makes the song stronger.
"Once You Get the Feel of It" is the best song on this album. There is an inherent charm about this song. The lyrics are compelling in nature, and the rhythm is upbeat. In the song, a man is trying to convince a woman to give love a try. I'm sure, with this song, more than one man convinced a woman to love him.
This is a great album for anyone feeling nostalgic or anyone trying to discover where their favorite music of today evolved from.
