The Eraser

Thom Yorke ? The EraserTaking a risk and venturing out on his own, Thom Yorke, an English musician who is mainly the vocalist and songwriter for the band Radiohead, has released his first solo album in 2006 titled "The Eraser," which was produced by Nigel Godrich. The album reached top numbers on charts around the world, including no. 9 in Ireland, no. 3 in the UK, and no. 2 in the U.S., Canada and Australia. Listeners will become hypnotized by the conception of new sounds.

If you have seen the movie "The Prestige" and sat through the ending credits, you probably recognized Thom Yorke's song "Analyse." The song has a bright piano melody united with electronic music devices and computer music software that provides the piece with a quality deviating from the norm. Adjacent to the provocative sounds, the lyrics liberates the sense of hearing and causes everything else around you to become silent. As in "Harrowdown Hill," the song depicts David Kelly, a biological warfare expert, who committed suicide, some sources say he was murdered, in 2003. With creepy lyrics, "I can't take the pressure, no one cares if you live or die. They just won't you gone. They want me gone," there is no way Thom Yorke's album won't entrance you.

Fans of Radiohead may have viewed Thom Yorke's move to come out with a solo album a move to become a solo artist. No worries. This is not the case. It is possible that Radiohead will stay together forever.

As a whole, "The Eraser" deserves to be praised as much as it has been.
