In Rainbows
How much did you pay for the digital download version of Radiohead's seventh studio album, "In Rainbows"? Well, after three months of permitting fans to buy their album at whatever price they desired, Radiohead decided to sell their album as a physical copy as well as a digital download. Selling an album only as a digital download maybe isn't wise but their album sold more than three million copies worldwide from digital and physical formats combined.
Radiohead has a way of taking the old and making it new, like adding a fabulous hat to last season's outfit and making it stylish once again. Thom Yorke, the lead singer, constantly displays his unblemished falsetto vocals but adds gentle illustrated lyrics to freshen it up, like, "Because we separate like ripples on a blank shore." Additionally, the guitar melodies will distract you from whatever is going on around you.
On every Radiohead album, there are one or two songs that seem to always show up on your "recently played" list on iTunes, and in this case, "15 Step" and "Nude" are sure to make an appearance. Lively and wild, "15 Step" will get you jumping and dancing around in your house, Tom Cruise style, while "Nude" will get you swaying side to side with a lighter in your raised hand.
The band has been together for over 15 years and this album implies that they are still at the height of their career. I can predict that Radiohead's future records will be critically acclaimed.
