I Love You, Beth Cooper

The high school romantic comedy, "I Love You, Beth Cooper," is a somewhat decent film, but the film's music is solid and probably one of the hit soundtracks for this summer.

To start off, the soundtrack has a lot of tracks that can be listened to on almost any occasion such as love songs to hard rock party music.

The album includes artists Hives, Christophe Beck, Gym Class Heros, Kiss, Kooks, Ok Go, Airboine, Smokey Robinson, Foreigner, Alice Cooper, Eleni Mendell, and Perishers. All the songs included in the album intertwine with each other in order to reflect the fun, action, and emotion within the film.

The album starts off just like the movie with the acoustic version of Eleni Mendell's "Forget Me" by Violet Colombus. A nice sincere song, it gathers all the emotions felt for any high school student at their graduation. As the listener get to track 5 of the soundtrack, they would notice a transition that is noted by Christophe Beck's three tracks.

The soundtrack uses Beck's three songs in the film as an interlude or skit to hint the listener in what type of songs they will hear relating to the film. After track 5, the next three tracks are straight party music that used to signify fun represented within the film. Suddenly, Beck's second track on the album, "Beth Suite," is played to hint another transition into emotion concerning love.

After the tracks of love, the final transition is jumped into action with the help of Beck's final track on the soundtrack, "Who Knew." This sense of adventure is mainly represented for the end of movie dealing with what will happen with the main character his high school love, Beth.Either way, the soundtrack is a great present and solid. This is a perfect gift for someone who listens to rock and pop as a graduation present that would signify their start into the adventure of adulthood.
