Zydeco All Night
I must say that Zydecosis has a lot of style and that's why I was hooked on their new album, "Zydeco All Night." This is definitely a party album with the influences of Caribbean and Blues music and the Cajun dance, Zydeco.
Zydecosis remade Grand Funk's "Some Kind of Wonderful" with only an accordion, guitar and a violin. I have never heard anything like this and it was something fun to listen to. Just this song alone will win more fans than ever.
"Talk Dirty to Me" is a song you can dance to. The lead vocals are distinctive. The lyrics are interesting when he sings, "You know I call you/ call you on the telephone/ I'm wondering if your home/ so I can hear you say them words to me/ whisper so softly." In this song, the accordion is more dominant than the rest of the instruments, making the sound better than ever.
On the other hand, Zydecosis doesn't do any justice to Aerosmith's "Walk This Way." The vocals are good, but there isn't any remake on the planet that can compare to the original song.
Overall, "Zydeco All Night" gives you that Mardi Gras feeling that involves lots of partying and dancing. Zydecosis is a group with a creative sound with their accordions and violins. Their renditions of classic rock songs will shock many listeners in a good way, making a great first impression.
