I Love You
There are many "bad girls" in the music industry with music that is different, sex crazed, and just plain out there when it comes down to the content. Artists such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry should watch their music territory because newcomer Amanda Blank is shining with her debut album, "I Love You."
Blank's new single, "Might Like You Better," has a techno beat that is easy to dance to. Her lyrics are vulgar and comical. In most of her songs, Blank raps mind-blowing verses that can be controversial. The chorus, "might like you better if we slept together/ I might like you better/ let's get together baby," is not appropriate for young listeners.
"A Love Song" is a remake of L.L. Cool J's "I Need Love," with the girl's viewpoint of breaking hearts, but trying to find the true meaning of love. The song starts off with harps beautifully playing and then Blank raps the famous line, "When I'm alone in my room sometimes I stare at the wall/ and in the back of my mind, I hear my conscious call/ telling me I need a [boy] who's as sweet as a dove/ for the first time in my life/ I see I need love." She switches up the second verse with her own lyrics and a sample from Santigold's "I'm a Lady." Blank impresses many with this rendition.
"Leaving You Behind" is the only track off the album where she sings and doesn't rap. This sensitive-side ballad shows Blank
