Zac Brown Band - The Foundation
- Zac Brown, lead singer of the Zac Brown Band, performed as a solo artist before founding the Zac Brown Band in 2004. The group members include John Hopkins on bass, Jimmy De Martini on the fiddle, Coy Bowles on the guitar and organ and lastly, Chris Fryar on the drums.

The group’s third album, “The Foundation,” filled with folk-fun songs like “Chicken Fried,” is an outstanding album with the sound of the fiddle in every song. This album has a lot of variety from a Jimmy Buffett-like song, “Toes,” to a beer-downing, guy song, titled “Where the Boat Leaves From.”

The Zac Brown Band also gets sentimental in their songs and my personal favorites are “Whatever It Is” and “Free.” Both these love songs have two totally different sounds, but still the same love and free-spirit feel.

“The Foundation” is far from fitting the “country mold” and is a down-to-earth and heartfelt country album.
