A fun, poppy and pleasant jazz mix, "Trading 8s" is the newest album from Carl Verheyen. There are 10 tracks to this album.
"Trading 8s" blends the genres of jazz and adult contemporary quite nicely. It is interesting that the album's title contains the number eight, as some of the songs are reminiscent of the best the 1980s music scene had to offer. Some of the best tracks on this album include "Country Girl," "Taxman" and "Constant as the Wind."
This is a gem of an album, whether or not you would typically classify yourself as a jazz fan. Happy listening!
