Max Miller - 2008 - Writing one song per month, beginning in January of
2008, singer/songwriter Max Miller has compiled 2008, a CD of
autobiographical songs that anyone who's gone through the "college process"
can relate to. The song January, for example, deals with the frustrations of
filling out the many college applications. February tells of the anxiety of
waiting to hear about acceptance or rejection. September is a sigh of relief
as the realization hits that this new life is good. November deals with the
historic Obama election and its promise of a new beginning. Each of the
songs feature different styles as they encompass rock, rap, folk and
alternative genres, with lyrics that are incisive and revelatory.
