This Valentine’s Day may find you falling in love with the sound of new Singer/Songwriter/Recording Artist Raffaela Capp, whose first CD of love songs and “So What” Music Video was just release released in time for Valentine’s Day. Raffaela, who is a third-generation community theater actress (since the age of five) truly brings feeling to her music. Raffaela was lucky enough to grow up at a time when musical theater began to morph with pop music, with the emergence of the popularity of Glee and a bevy of musical realty shows (anticipated Spielberg production of Smash, as well as talent competitions like American Idol, X Factor, The Voice America’s Got Talent, etc.). Now, her first EP, which is a result of working with the amazing music producers, Frank and Christian Berman, includes the following tracks: Anger in Me, Against the World, Thunder, and So What.” The EP will be available on iTunes now. Her breakthrough music video “So What” was produced by John Caffera, EUE/Screen Gems and Cappricielli; shot on set at EUE/Screen Gems’ New York studios and on location in Eastern Long Island, New York, and includes many of her young colleagues from community theater and the Maria Capp Acting Studio. In two days, it already has thousands of views.
Raffaela’s goal is to use the storytelling ability she learned in her years of acting to share positive messages for young people about life experiences that everyone can relate to. She is excited about the resurgence of the Pop Idol and hopes to follow in the great footsteps of her personal idols, which are Katy Perry, Madonna, Jessica Simpson, Fergie, another Long Islander - Pat Benatar, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
